PhD position in Plant Epigenetics

Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative candidate with interest in plant epigenetics and development. The available project aims to identify novel regulators of plant cell fate, with a focus on Polycomb-group proteins and histone methylation, and combines genetic, molecular and biochemical techniques (see Schubert et al 2006, EMBO J 25, 4638; Schubert et al 2005, Curr Opin Plant Biol 8, 553).
Our group is part of the Collaborative Research Center 590 which offers excellent support for the molecular analysis of developmental processes.
Qualifications: Applicants must have completed a diploma or masters degree in Biological Sciences. A background in genetics, molecular biology or biochemistry is preferred.
Salary Details: A salary according to German BAT standards will be provided for three years.
