Postdoctoral Scientist in Epigenetics and Centromere Biology

Description: We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and interactive postdoctoral scientist to study the function of epigenetic mechanisms in centromere biology. We are using Drosophila and cell culture as model systems to explore how epigenetic mechanisms influence chromosome segregation during mitosis and how changes in epigenetic mechanisms can lead to chromosome segregation abnormalities.
Qualifications: The applicant should have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology. Experience with Drosophila and live cell microscopy would be of advantage.
Salary Details: The salary (TV-L) is according to the German government employment rules for researchers with a PHD degree.
