Postdoctoral Research Assistant (Two Posts)
- The Beatson Institute for Cancer Research, Glasgow, UK
Description: Applications are invited from ambitious and motivated post-doc candidates to work with Professor Peter Adams to study the epigenetics of aging and age-associated diseases, such as cancer. The Adams lab is situated in the new state-of-the-art Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute for Cancer Research. The lab is well funded by CRUK, the Beatson Institute, Glasgow University and the United States NIH. Consequently, the research facilities and academic environment are both excellent and, through collaborative NIH funding, there will be opportunity to work closely with other leading labs in the field, such as Shelley Berger (Wistar Institute), Ronen Marmorstein (Wistar Institute) and Brad Johnson (University of Pennsylvania). The project will likely use cutting edge technologies, including integrated whole genome approaches, animal models and sophisticated cell imaging techniques. Glasgow is a vibrant and forward-looking European city, situated close to some of Europe's most beautiful countryside.
Salary Details: £30,763 - £34,625 per annum
