Research Focus:

DNA methylation and cancer

We are functionally characterizing the DNA methylation system of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. In a second reserach area, we are developing DNA methyltransferase inhibitors with the intention of introducing them into epigenetic cancer therapies.
